Recently Rani Mukerji was seen at the couture week in Delhi supporting one of her favourite designers, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Though Rani was not a show stopper at eh event, she looked absolutely stunning in the front row. Rani donned a vintage ensemble as she chose to wear a beige sari with delicate embellishments that perfectly complemented her skin tone. She completed this look with a hairstyle that was sleek and didn’t take attention away from her gorgeous saree. She also chose to wear two red roses in her hair and it seems t us she made the perfect choice by doing so.

The fashion show saw models walking down the ramp, sporting beautiful creations by the designer. After the fashion show Rani discussed her look for the forthcoming film ‘Mardaani’ with Sabyasachi. They discussed what the actress should wear at film promotions. Rani’s look in Mardaani is that of a non glamourous woman. She lays the role of a cop and hence even slight glamour would come across as inappropriate. This is an action packed role that requires her to look tough and fierce more than anything else. As we see in the poster of this film, Rani has been spot on in looking the part of her character.
This film revolves around the grave issue of female trafficking that needs to be brought under control before finally being eradicated from society. The filmmakers have dared to be different as they focus on social issues rather than making just another romantic comedy for the Indian audience. The crime branch has appreciated the efforts of the filmmakers’ and completely supports them. It will be interesting to see how the Indian audiences receive this film. We must say it was a nice decision to cast a female actor as the lead character of a film mardaani that revolves around crime and action. From Rani’s earlier performances, we can tell that she will do perfectly well in portraying her role to perfection.

Rani has been away from the glare of the media for quite some time now, and this film will be like a comeback for her. She recently, married Aditya Chopra in an exclusive ceremony that not many people in the industry knew about. They flew down to Italy to tie the knot and only had close friends and family members as a part of this glorious celebration. Her performance in Mardaani will be her first acting venture after marriage. In an interview the actress expressed her thoughts about her acting career and said that she keeps it as her priority before everything else. The actress chose not to change her surname as she feels that her fans can only connect to the name ‘Rani Mukerji’ and will find it difficult to relate to ‘Rani Chopra’.  In the poster of ‘Mardaani’, we can see Rani wearing a black kurta with pants. She is seen holding up a gun with a fierce expression. Let’s see if Rani can woo her fans even with a look that has no glamour in it.
